Well, it's been quite a long time since my last update! It has been quite a year, with many challenging projects and new technologies.
Fost, I would like to add a shameless promotion for my good friend, the very talented Corey Folta. I just helped him complete his website at http://www.coreyfolta.com/. Corey is a talented producer and audio engineer, with a long list of high-profile clients ranging from Martha Stewart to ESPN...
This year saw the completion of two of the largest web projects I have been involved with to-date. The first of which is Gotobaby, a fully-featured, proprietary e-commerce application built using the amazing CodeIgniter Framework.I enjoyed working with this framework so much, that I transformed two sites that I had previously done in ColdFusion to CodeIgniter as well: NYC Wraps and Shadow Circus Music.
I had the opportunity to test many frameworks prior to building Gotobaby -- Symphony, Cake, Ruby on Rails, etc...CodeIgniter came out on top for its ease of installation in shared hosting environments, flexible control of URL structure, and lightning-fast performance.
The other massive project this year is the Interactive Curriculum, Read, Click & Learn. The greatest challenge with this ColdFusion/Fusebox-based site, is the web-based text-to-speech engine that I built using .NET, and Windows Speech. The application is currently being piloted in schools, with a focus on children with learning disabilities. I cannot share the site url here as it is a closed system available only through schools.

In between all of this serious code, I had the pleasure of creating a website for my Progressive Rock band, Shadow Circus, at http://www.shadowcircusmusic.com.
If you are a fan of 70's rock, and bands like Yes, ELP, Jethro Tull, and Genesis, then I recommend giving it a try! If you like it, the CD can be purchased directly through our website, or, if you prefer, through Amazon.
The CD features cover art by Marylin Nieves, and was designed by the very talented graphic designer David Bobick.

The past year has brought some of the most rewarding projects I have
had to date.
My goodwill efforts will always pale in comparison to my sister, Rene Cantwell,
who has created Families of Loved Ones, a printed magazine providing resources
for caregivers. I recently created the web version of this publication at
http://www.cantwellmedia.com.
This site promises to be one of the most comprehensive and robust sources
of information for caregivers on the net!
My upcoming project, The Interactive Curriculum, is still under wraps, but
will soon be piloted by Marywood University. Keep checking back here
for more information on this exciting project!
